This Trip starts and ends in
Uganda. The highlights of this trip will be Shoebill and Rhino trekking at Ziwa
Rhino sanctuary, game drives at Murchison Falls and Lake Mburo National park,
the boat cruise on the Nile, chimpanzee trekking at Kibale, gorilla trekking at
Bwindi, just to mention but a few. Be ready to enjoy scenic views and

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
You will be picked from the
airport by a tour guide from the company who will then take you to your hotel
where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino
Sanctuary
After your breakfast at the
lodge you will be transferred to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, have lunch and do the
Rhino tracking. You will have dinner and night at lodge.
Day 3: Shoebill Tracking and
Transfer to Murchison falls National park
The shoebill stork is one of
the most sought-after birds to be seen in Uganda and Ziwa is one of the only
places that you are almost always guaranteed to see them. it has a record
number of 11 shoebills sightings in one trip. This adventure is one for the
early birds. You’ll set off on the shoebill trek at 6am. The canoe ride through
the swamp at that time gives you the best opportunity to see the shoebill. But
not only that, it is a fantastic way to see the beautiful Ugandan sunrise over
the Lugogo Swamp. Water birds are plentiful there, so this is a must for anyone
who loves nature or is interested in birding.so on this day we shall wake up
early have our breakfast and set out for the shoebill sightings, after the
activity you will have lunch and head to Murchison Falls National Park.
Day 4: Game Drive and Boat
Cruise
On this day after your
breakfast at the lodge, you will have a game drive in the park and later in the
afternoon after your lunch, do a boat cruise. Murchison Falls National Park
lies at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley, where the vast Bunyoro
escarpment transforms into a vast savannah dotted with palm trees. Murchison
Falls is home to more than 144 mammals, 556 species of birds, 51 reptiles and 51
amphibians. With large numbers of African elephants, Murchison Falls is
impressive all year round. Historically, giraffes inhabit exclusively the
northern sector of the park. Buffalo populations have soared to more than
10,000 while Ugandan kobs have surged to more than 35,000.
Day 5: Game Drive at
Murchison Falls National Park
Breakfast at the lodge, then
depart for a game drive with your packed lunch. You will spend a whole day in
the park. In the afternoon when it is hot, you will get to see many more animals
as they all come to drink the water of the Nile.
Day 6: Transfer to Kibale and
Crater Lakes Visit
This day, after breakfast,
you will head to Kibale Forest, the primate capital of the world. Upon arrival,
you will have lunch and visit the crater lakes. Crater lakes formed as a result
of volcanicity, with a violent eruption causing the explosion of the summit of
a volcano, leaving a crater. The lakes are so numerous and vary in size and
character, and feature well-developed facilities. A crater lakes visit is, a
thrilling adventure which offers you intense views of the magnificent
surrounding landscapes, hills and sumptuous green canopy of the forest.
Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking
and Bigodi Swamp walk
Early in the morning, after
your breakfast, you will head to Kibale headquarters where you will have a
briefing and a ranger will be assigned to guide you throughout the chimpanzee
trek. Hiking with the chimpanzees can last about 3 to 4 hours in total. After
the trek, you will have lunch then visit the community and the Bigodi swamp.
Rich in biodiversity and scenic beauty, the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary is a
must-visit. A 4.5km walk will take you through this important wildlife corridor
of Kibale Forest and will take up to 3hours.This wonderful place is home to
over 200 species of birds, including hornbills, turacos, parrots, cranes,
kingfishers and many other endemic marsh species. In addition, the sanctuary is
home to 8 species of primates, including the black and white colobus, red
colobus, red-tailed monkey, gray-cheeked mangabey, baboon olive, the vervet
monkey and the blue monkey.
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi
Impenetrable Forest
You will have an early
breakfast and drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest, the home of the mountain
gorillas. You will have lunch on the way and various stops to enjoy the scenic
views and take some photos.
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking
A gorilla safari in Bwindi
Impenetrable National Park is a dream for almost every traveler and has been
hailed by some as the best wildlife experience in the world. Gorilla trekking
starts at 8am. After an early breakfast you head to the park with your packed
lunch for a briefing. Led by our expert rangers, the trek can last from 3 to 8
hours depending on where the gorillas will be on a given day after the trek you
shall later relax at the lodge.
Day 10: Transfer to Lake
Mburo and Night Game drive
After breakfast, you will
leave for Lake Mburo National Park. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and
prepare for a night game drive. Lake Mburo is one of the few parks where you
can go on a night safari! At night there are a variety of animals that you
would not see during the day, particularly bush pigs, genets, white-tailed
mongooses, just to mention but a few. Night walks also give you the best chance
of finding leopards, spotted hyenas and there is a male lion in the park which
resides on the edge of Lake Mburo itself. It's an interesting experience at
night with a searchlight, an unusual variation of regular safaris.
Day 11: Safari walk and
Departure
Early in the morning, you
will go on a safari walk inside the park accompanied by a game ranger where we
shall be able to see different animals mainly giraffes, antelopes and zebras
after which you will set off to Entebbe for your flight back home. Along the
way you will stop at Equator for lunch and some photos.
